Review of We Are a Family Retreat July 2024

The raw nature we experienced during the July 2024 retreat helped me to feel the
urging of my inner child to unblock, de-stress, and just be. After a few days of hiking,
eating amazing fresh food and enjoying the company of other seekers and wanderers,
my inner child began to lead the way back to, dare I say it, play. I felt the wonder that I
had been missing from my life for too long. The days are well planned by the retreat
facilitator. Erin Brindle, and the group exercises are well thought out. The views from the
retreat center are spectacular and the staff is supportive and friendly. Erin and the staff
did a great job of anticipating our needs.

During our day in Yellowstone, we were blessed by the presence of mountain cows,
buffalo herds, elk, moose and, from a safe distance, grizzly bears. The tour guide was
extremely knowledgeable about the local wildlife, as well as, where the best places to
stop and rest are located. This day, together with the mystical experience of seeing the
natural formation of the “paint pots,” fed my inner artist and provided inspiration for
contemplation as well as my art. I found myself compelled to walk and collect discarded
items to create an amazing spirit doll. I can’t recommend this retreat more strongly for
those in need of replenishment, and to prove it, I plan to be there this summer too.

What makes New Creations Counseling and Art Therapy unique?
We help identify a problem and expand one's thinking. We are not our thoughts but our thoughts inform our actions. We can reach a goal, build a community, expand our minds by changing our thoughts.
If you hear a voice within you say 'you cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.
